County, Daqing City. There are more than 240 species of birds, of which over 40
species are permitted to be hunted. It is also e largest fresh water breeding
farm in Heilongjiang Province. There are 18 lakes in various shapes, altogether
with a vast expansion of 386.86 square kilometres.
ZHALONG NATURE RESERVE
Located in Zhalong ,Qiqihar ,it is the largest nature
reserve for rare avifauna and wetlands in China. There are 296 species of
birds, including over 120 species of waterfowls. More than half of China’s
total avian species are found here, of which the rarest is the red-crowned
crane.Among all 15 species of cranes around the world, 14 species can be found
here, making the nature reserve an area with the richest wild crane resource in
the globe.
