FANGCHUAN NATIONAL SCENIC RESORT
Located at the juncture of China, Russia and the DPRK about
60 kilometres southeast of Hunchun City, the scenic resort occupies a position
on the axis of the “Golden Triangle “of Northeast Asia.
About 15 kilometres
from the Japan Sea,it iis China’s only land gateway to the Japan Sea and the
closet point to Russia, east coast of the DPRK, west coast of Japan and even
North America and North Europe through water way. Looking into the distance
from a high spot, one can view the Tumen Rive making its way gently southward
,the Russian DPRK Railway Bridge spanning over the river, upon range of
mountains meandering on the DPRK’s side of the Tumen River and small Russian
towns hidden in the amazing wetland scenery.
XIANJINGTAI SCENIC RESORT
A state class important scenic resort, it covers 32 square
kilometres in the upper reaches of the
Tumen River in the territory of Heong city in Yanbian Korean Autonomous
Prefecture, Southeastern Jilin Province.
It features a galaxy of sky touching
peaks, grotesque, rocks, strange pines, rare flower, wonderful waterfalls and a
sea of clouds. The granite landforms here are attributed to multiple fractures
and concentric weathering due to the volcanic movements on Changbai Mountain
and geographic functions of the upper reaches of the Tumen River.
JINGYUETN (CRYSTAL MOON POOL)
The Changchun Jingyuetan National Scenic Resort, formally named by the State Council in 1998, is a state class, forest based resort featuring China’s largest artificial forest landscape and ice and snow attractions; encompassing pools, mountains and local custom and culture and combining tourist sightseeing with leisure vacation, health rehabilitation , science education and activities for children and youngster .It cover a total area of 96.38 square kilometres, including 67.82 square kilometres of forests and 4..3 square kilometer of pool, with a forest coverage rate of 81.4 percent .In 1989, the scenic zone was rated by the Ministry of Forestry as a state class forest park and in 2000, it was rated as a National Model Scenic Resort in Civilized Tourism and a National AAAA Tourist Zone.
