Khao Kha was an ancient community in 8th-9th century where residents were Hindus of the Sawal Nikai Brahman order whose highest god is Shiva. Regarding its geography as a hill , Khao Kha was regarded as replica of the mythical Khao Phra Sumen, the residence of Shiva.. excavations found a number of historical sites around the area including artifacts used during religious rites as well as Hindu related items such as phallic symbols, holy water pipes , ruins and an ancient pond. The Fine Arts Department completed its renovation in 1997.
