BULGARIA GOLF
Increasingly in the name of Bulgaria is associated with golf
tourism. The favorable climate and diverse natural resources are a natural

SOFIA (ST SOFIA GOLF CLUB)
One of the most renowned golf clubs in
Bulgaria is situated near the village of Ravno Pole, only half an hour from the
capital city center. The 18 hole golf
course was designed by the renowned Irish player Paul McGinley. In 2011, the
course was completely renovated and rebuilt.
The proximity of the course in Ravno Pole to
Sofia, as well as the largest international airport in the country ,makes it
very popular and attractive for Bulgarian and foreign golfers.

PRAVETS (PRAVETS GOLF CLUB)
Just in 40 minutes drive from the capital along the Hemus
highway, there is one of the newest golf courses in Bulgaria. The complex in
the town of Pravets offers a championship golf course with 18 holes designed by
peter Harradine, a high tech golf academy and training facilities , a clubhouse
and a 4 star hotel of the RIU chain.

BANSKO ( PIRIN GOLD AND COUNTRY CLUB)
A complex with a golf course with 18 holes
and a few holes of a second course, designed by Ian Woosnam is located next to
the winter resort of Bansko. A hotel and several restaurants offer their guests
convenience and comfort in the golf complex. The combination of spectacular
scenery and the proximity of the golf course to one of the most popular ski
resorts on the Balkans put it among the preferred golf destinations.

IHTIMAN (AIR SOFIA)
Near Ihtimann lies the first gold course in
Bulgaria, which was put into operation at the beginning of the new century. The
quality of the track is good and the price to play 18 holes is very affordable
and attracts many beginners and intermediate golfers.
CAPE KALIAKRA DESTINATION
The wonderful scenery and beautiful beach
of the northern Black Sea coast, combined with the high class golf courses make
them attractive for many golfers in this area are new. Two of them were
designed by the legendary golf player Gary Player and offer 5 star luxury and
accommodation in villas on the beach .The third course was designed by Ian
Woosnam and combines hotel and apartment accommodation.
One of the courses near Kavarna and Balchik
was officially opened in 2011, making it the newest golf course in Bulgaria and
the region.
BALCHIK AND KAVARNA (BLACK SEA)
Between Balchik and Kavarna , very close to
each other, are 3 great golf courses with 18 holes each, which golfers combine
during their stay on the northern Black Sea Coast.Most characteristic for the 3
courses is their close proximity to the
sea.
Thracian Cliffs is the Best Golf Resort in
Europe for 2014.
Only 3 years after its official opening and
a few months after the 50th Anniversary Volvo World Match Play
Championship , Thracian Cliffs was awarded as European Golf Resort of the Year
2014.The big award has been voted by the International Association of Golf
Tourism Operators (IAGTO) , which is the global trade organization of the golf
industry.
