MELATI KADET
SUROPATI MONUMENT
The location of
the monument is Ijen Street. It was built for respecting the entire component
that involved during the learning process on Malang Military Academy –division
VIII and reminiscing about the founder, teacher in Military.
This monument
consists of 2 main pillars as high as 7 m symbolizing 2 brigades.On the top of
monument, there is a Jasmine petal as high as as 4 m madeof bronze in 11 sheets
symbolizing born of the Kadet Suropat School. The image “HONGAAARSE RAUL “on
the main pillar represents a badge that used by the Kadet Suropati Students.
The monument was officially announced on 17 December 1982 by KASAD General
Poniman.The construction cost was almost RP103000.000paid by Alumni. It is a
pride of them.
