IJEN CATHEDRAL
The location of the
Cathedral is in Guntur Street no 2 .The church was built in 28 October 1934.
The architecture is typical of Dutch Cathedral Church can be seen by the interior
and exterior also the ornament.
It has renovated in 27 July 2002. At the
beginning, the name of the church was “Santa Tereshia”then changed to “Santa
Mariia Bunda Carmel” in 1961. Cathedral means a center or area located in the
middle of Church or it can be said that Cathedral is the main area of the
bishopric. It is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in Indonesia
