There are
many excellent beaches in the Philippines. These amazing sites are so
enthralling you will definitely get as far away as possible for the stress of
your daily life.
Anilao in
Batangas is a popular spot due to its proximity to Manila. Under its cool
waters live astounding numbers of sea creatures. Also just a few hours’ drive
from Manila is the Subic Bay, Zambales. But unlike other dive site, Subic
offers ship wreckages from the Spanish- American War to the Second World War. A
few more miles from Manila is Donsol, Sorsogon. Donsol is one of the most
famous dive sites in the Philippines but attracts tourists to this place are
the Butandings or whale sharks. The Butanding is around 18 meters long and will
render you speechless if you see one a few meters away underwater.
A little
further down south are the pristine white sand beaches of Boracay, Palawan,
Bohol, Cebu and Davao. Coron Bay in Busuanga, where divers can feast their eyes
on the multihued aquatic scenery marvel in the ship wreckage, remnants of the
battles of the World War II.
In Boracay a few private hotels and resort will
bring you the scheduled areas of the island where you can enjoy the corals and
fishes in the company of friends or loved ones. Two of Bohol pride is the Arco
Point and the Pamilacan Islands. These dives sites have diverse marine life
where you can swim with colourful fishes, Trigger fish, manta rays, eels and maybe
even a whale shark or two.
While in Negros Oriental, you will find Apo Island.
This is one of the Philippines largest dive sites. You can just imagine what
surprises lurk beneath the ocean. Perhaps an underwater paradise teeming with
colourful creatures from fish, sting rays and different corals worthy of one
awe and praise.
