SHARJAH- AJMAN
Sharjah offers a fascinating range of historical mosques and
old souks that reflect Arabian majesty. Admire the famous Al Rolla Square and
remarkable Central Souk that houses hundreds of shops engraved in Arabian
architecture. View the splendid King Faisal Mosque and the Pearl Monument, a
symbol of UAE Federation. Nothing fishy here except the fish market and the
characteristic Dhow Port en-route! A visit to Ajman to explore the impressive
museum, housed in an old fort , which depicts traditional life before the
discovery of oil.
AL AIN
Al Ain a charming desert oasis, also known as the Garden
City of the Emirates is an hour and half drive away from either Dubai. Al Ain
is also the largest inland city in emirates surrounded by the magnificent red
sand dunes and over looked by impressive mountains. In the past, the Oasis of
Alain was a welcome stop on caravan trail at the foot of the magnificent Hajjar
Mountains.
Today Al Ain boasts of farms of vegetables and date trees and is the
home of one of the oldest and modern educational institutions in the emirates
with the Al Ain University. The tour takes you to the beautiful landscape with
birds a eye view from the top of the Jebel Hafeet (the tallest mountain in the
emirates). In the afternoon we break for lunch in the city followed by a visit
to the largest camel market in the United Arab Emirates and resume our journey
home.
