1. PALANI
One of the six abodes of Lord Muruga
Located about 64km frm Kodaikanal is one of 6 abodes of Lord Murugan ( Karthikeya ). The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Dhandayuthapani.
2. KUKKAL CAVES
A journey back in time. Once a site inhabited by the earliest known tribes who lived here- the Paliyars , the cave are located about 40kms from Kodaikanal
3. DOLMEN CIRCLE
Dolmen circle is located about 18 kms away from Kodaikanal Lake. This is said to be the site of ancient settlements.
4. THALAIYAR FALLS
At 975 feet in height, this is one of the highest water falls in the world.
5. SUMMER FESTIVAL
celebrated in May every year. This festival is celebrated for one month. The Boat Pageant and the Flower show are also held during the summer festival and are a major attraction for tourists.
6. SALETTE MATHA FESTIVA
celebrated 15th August every year
