INDIA BANGALORE -BANGALORE GOLF CLUB

One of the oldest golf courses in India, Bangalore Golf Club was on the itinerary of former British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill , who was transferred to India in 1896 as a war correspondent .
Established in 1876 , this golf course was originally a 12 hole course and was redesigned and upgraded to an 18 hole course in 2002 by Phil Ryan of Pacific Coast Design. The inter club matches between Madras Gymkhana Club  and Bangalore Golf Club , which began in 1978, are the world's oldest such continuing competition between two golf club. With 52 bunkers, 2 water bodies, flowering trees lining the tight fairways and a large raft of ducks wandering about, this 60 acre golf course located at the very centre of the busy city of Bangalore , stands out for its beautiful design and layout and is a difficult course to conquer!

The large club house boasts of the popular the Pudy's Bar and lounge, the Eagle's Nest which offers comfortable  standard , deluxe and family suits , a gym and spa , a well stocked library and billiards room.
