The magnificent 117 acre Kartanaka Golf Association was established in 1973 and it is hard to believe that it was once a part of the Challaghatta swamp. Renovated and redesigned by professional golfer, Peter Thompson in 2008, the greens here are laid out around 14 water bodies, 78 bunkers and 6 hazards. The huge colonial style club house has a swimming pool , a gym , a health club , a pro shop and a restaurant.
The club also provides a panel of professional trainers for individual coaching.
The most well knows face associated with this club is Chinnaswamy Muniyappa , once a caddie lugging around heavy club sets, before he became a professional golfer and went on to win the Indian Open in 2009.
