1. KO KUT
The easternmost island of Trat bordering Cambodia, Ko Kut is regarded as the " Andaman of the eastern sea". Crystal clear and emerald green sea and peaceful surroundings make Ko Kut a popular relaxing destination. Attractions include swimming scuba diving , snorkeling. trekking , visiting gest and the waterfall and observing fisherman's way of life. The best time to visit is from November to April. A wide range of accommodation is available.
2. MUKO CHANG NATIONAL PARK
This park comprises of an archipelago of 52 islands , of which Ko Chang is the largest and the second largest in the country after Phuket. Covering an area of 650 sq kms , it features fine beaches , coral reef and plentiful marine life while inland are forested hills and waterfall, as well as fruit orchards. The best beaches are on the west side spreading from the north to the south, including Ao Khlong Son, Hat Sai Khao , Hat Khlong Phrao and Hat kai Bae.
Principal among the other islands are Ko Mak to the south , which has several beautiful bays and beaches, as well as coral reefs ; Ko Kut , the archipelago's second largest island and located in the southernmost point of Trat's territorial waters; Ko Wai ; Ko Lao Ya and Ko Kradat. Noted for both deep water and shallow water corals are the Muko Kra and Muko Rang which are to the west of Ko Mak.
Ferries from the mainland to Ko Chang and other islands depart Laem Ngop Pier, some 20 kms from town , every 45 minutes daily from 6 am to 7 pm .
Centre Point pier , 3 kms from Laem Ngop , departing every 35 minutes from 6 am to 7 pm and Ao Thammachat Pier, 15kms from laem Ngop , departing every 30 minutes daily from 7 am to 7 pm.
