VIETNAM - THE GLIMPSE OF HO CHI MINH CITY

Come to the Pearl of the Far East to astonishingly witness the new dynamic rhythm of life.So much to discover , so much to stretch your legs on every corner of the city.

Ho Chi Minh is the city where oriental meet western.

Saigon is the name of a fantastic river flowing through the city. The river gave birth to the Saigon - Cho Lon Port and the most buoyant riverside city in the South East Asia as early 18th century.

Over the past centuries , Saigon once praised as the " Pearl of the Far East" was known as an important trading center for Chinese , Japanese and Western merchants who traveled upstream Saigon River to Pho Island.

At the stroke of noon 30 April 1975, the world watched history being made when the Saigon regime collapsed and the whole country became reunited.

In 1976, Saigon was favourbly renamed Ho Chi Minh City in memory of the greatest leader of Vietnam " Uncle Ho".

With a population of more than 7.5 million , parts of urban Ho Chi Minh City are among the most densely populated areas in South East Asia.

The city is the heart and soul of Vietnam . It's a bustling , dynamic and industrious centre, the largest city in the country, the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter. Yet within the teeming metropolis are the timeless traditions and beauty of an age -old culture.

This is a city that churns , fements , bubbles and fumes . The streets , where much of the city's life take place, are a jumble of street markets ,shops , pavement cafe, stands - on -wheels and vendors selling wares spread out on sidewalks.

The city is a focus of many unique and convenient travel lines with high class facilities and the diverse tourist products , worthy of its population as a leading tourist centre and travel hub of the region and the whole country.

Ho Chi Minh City has several excellent museums featuring everything from harrowing images of the war and revolution to tribal and traditional costumes.

Outside, botanical gardens , waterways , temples , pagodas and churches lure and inspire. Now yoour adventure begins........
