NGHINH ONG QUAN THANH FESTIVAL
Traditionally , every 2 years, the festival is held every full moon day of the 7th lunar month ( in even -numbered years ) . Nghinh Ong is the traditional folklore festival of the Chinese in Phan Thiet. So far, the festival is still keeping originally humanitarian folklore elements of the Chinese.
The main content of the festival to express the general wishes of these people for weather, peaceful country , happy and wealth people.
The Festival was recognised by Vietnam Guinness as the largest Nghinh Ong festival in the country, attracting a great number of tourists and local people to involve in, particularly the community of Chinese people living in Phan Thiet City - Binh Thuan.
