KATE FESTIVAL
Every year , in October of solar calendar ( or 1st of July of Cham's calendar) , Kate Festival of Cham people takes place in Po San Inu Tower. This is the most important festival of Bhama Cham community to memorize their ancestor and pray for good weather for abundant crop.
Kate is the festival also to pay tribute to Gods, Heroes, ancestor , Kings who has great contribution to the country and divinized such as : PoKlong , Giarai , porome ....This is an occasion for people to go on a pilgrimage , visit , gather and give respectful cult to their ancestor.
Kate Festival of Cham community in Binh Thuan Province take place in mausoleums, temples and families of Cham people in all Play ( village ) in the province.
