In Belmonte was born Pedro Alvares Cabral , discoverer of Brazil in 1500. as a way to honor this important episode in our history, it was settled in the old Manor of the Cabrais the Discovery of the New World Museum - Museum of the Discoveries, interactive project of sensations and affections which transports the visitor to a history of 500 years of building of a country and Portuguese Identity.
along the 16 rooms one deals with the history of the Portuguese discoveries as an unifying element of New Worlds, the journey of Discovery of Brazil, the development and construction of s sister nation , Portugality, etc....
It's a unique project in Portugal in which are used the latest interactive technologies at the service of museography, in order to involve visitors in a dream world, sensations and affections.
