PHILIPPINES CEBU& BOHOL

Located at the heart of the Philippines' middle island group , Central Visayas has everything to love about the country. It's urban and rural and festive and contemplative. It's home to some of the best food and some of the best beaches in the country. It's where you will hear the toll of centuries -old church bells over the blare of current pop songs.

Like stepping foot on the sands that Westerners first arrived on. Visiting centuries old streets, ancestral homes and museums. Swimming with thresher sharks. Meeting friendly bees. Taking a river boat ride at night. Counting the chocolate hills. There are as many possibilities as there are fireflies in the Bohol night sky.

Its diet of fish and plankton means that it isn't interested in you for breakfast . So you can swim , snorkel or dive encounter with it off of the small fishing town of Tan -awan, around 10 km from Oslob. Just try to stay the suggested 3 meters away to avoid startling it. It's best to get to Tan- awan early, as interactions only last until 12.30 pm. Weekday dives are best, as to avoid photo bombed by the crowds.
