HAT HUA HIN ( 68 KM FROM THE CITY OF

Thailand‘s oldest and most traditional seaside resort has long been a
favourite weekend and summer retreat since the reign of King Rama VI. And the 5
kilometre long white sand beach stretching all the way to Khao Takiap (
Chpstick Mountain) is a perfect sanctuary for getting away from it all.

PHETCHABURI’S most popular beach, Cha Am is well known for its 2 contrasting
charms. The north of the beach is lively, with scores of beach chairs and vivid
sun umbrellas like the scene at Hat Bang Saen. The south, on the other hand,
it’s spacious and far more peaceful, as it is located next to Hat Hua Hin.

PHRA NAKHON KHIRI HISTORICAL PARK ( CITY ON THE
MOUNTAIN)
CITY OF PHETCHABURI (8.30 AM 4.30PM)
Localy referred to as “ Khao Wang” this famous historical site of
Phetchaburi is Thailand ‘s first summer palace complex ever constructed on top
of a mountain. The place provides visitors with a unique fusion of neo
classical, Thai and Chinese architectural styles a combination that makes the
park a very worthwhile destination in itself. The main attractions are Phra
Kaeo Noi Temple , which was built as a royal chapel according to traditional
beliefs and Phrathat Cho Phet, a big white pagoda located at the center. Open
daily.

MARUEKHANTHAIWAN
10 KM FROM CHA AM BEACH, 8.30 AM – 4PM
This summer palace consists of a 2 storey , grand, golden teak pavilion
with a series of halls connected to each other. Built by the Royal command of
King Rama VI, the place is usually referred to as “ the Palace of Love and Hope
“.Open daily . Group visitors are required to write a formal inquiry to the
director of Rama VI Military Camp.

PHRA RAM RATCHANIWET ( BAN PUEN PALACE)
DAMRONGRAK ROAD CITY OF PHETCHABURI 8AM – 4PM
Originally called Wang Ban Puen, it was built under the Royal Command of
King Rama V.This rainy season palace, together with Phet Prasat Throne, is of a
European architectural style. The palace’s interior is marvelously decorated
with colourful porcelain ware. Open daily.

KAENG KRACHAN DAM
( 50 KM FROM THE CITY OF PHETCHABURI
A gigantic dam which is 58 metres high and 760 meters long overlooks the
peaceful scene of a fresh water reservoir and its islands. The reservoir is not
only a nursery of various kind of fish, but it is also a wonderful place for
casual rafting and sightseeing.You can charter a long tailed boat to soak up
the sights of Som Island, explore the source of the Phetchaburi River or try
fishing. A wide range of restaurants offering
great local food are available too.

HAT CHAO SAMRAN HAT PUEK TIAN
( 15 KM FROM THE CITY OF PHETCHABURI)
Located before Hat Cha am are two beaches that may appear different in
character but are equal in beauty. They are easy to get to and boast an array
of restaurants and accommodation. Hat Puek Tian is a popular photographic spot
where many sculptures of fictional characters from the work of Thailand’s most
famous poet, Sunthon Phu, are located.

THAM PHRAYA NAKHON
16 KM FROM KHAO SAM ROI YOT NATIONAL PARK
This cave is located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, a place known for
its range of Limestone Mountains, mangrove swamps and beached. Inside the cave
is the exquisitely built Phra Thinang Khuha Kharuehat, a Thai Style, 4 porched
wooden pavilion constructed during the reign of King Rama V. A nearby
attraction is a large banyan tree with aerial roots a romantic archway created
by nature. It is believed that walking under this arch will be a blessing,
especially when it comes to love. Couples will find their bond of love
strengthened, while those who are single will find the love of their lives.

LAEM PHAK BIA BIRD WATCHING SPOT
12 KM FROM THE CITY OF PHETCHABURI
Well known among serious birdwatchers, the place offers rare
opportunities to watch mangrove birds. A regular meeting point for both
beginner and professionalbirdwatchers is a small nursery pond where one can
stroll around to explore the diversity of mangrove forests. The best period for
visiting the place is from September to April. The black backed Russian gull (
only seen during the migratory period) can be spotted at San Sai, which is
reachable via a boat trip from the pier.

NAMTOK PA LA U
( 63 KM FROM HUA HIN DISTRICT)
Located
in Kaeng Krachan National Park, this 15 tier cascade is nestled in the heart of
undisturbed evergreen forests. It is clean and quiet and suitable for dipping
or chilling out during a stress free day trip. Bird watching is also a popular
activity. Hornbills are frequently sighted. Various species of butterflies
entertain visitors with flying colours.
