CRUISE THE MAE KLONG RIVER
A boat for rent is available to see views along the rivers banks occupied
by a line of houses. Among the houses are rarely seen traditional ones called
Ruean Panya or hip roof houses.
Furthermore, there are riverside temples, such as Wat Amphawan , Wat Bang
Khae Yai, Wat Bang Khae Noi, Wat Phummarin Kudi Thong, etc. Visitors can also
take a boat ride into canals through coconut groves and lychee orchards amidst
a shady ambience. This canal route is less known among visitors, but it is
quite interesting.

Lychee Samut Songkhram is a fertile province
where the majority of the people are farmer and therefore , abounds with
various kinds of fruit, be they lychees , king orange, grape,guava ,coconut, or
the Khao Yai variety of pomelo grown extensively in Amphoe Bang Khonthi . There
are also other agricultural products , local goods and souvenirs to suit
tourism’s choices.

COCONUT PALM SUGAR
The profession of making home made
palm sugar is quite important. At present, visitors often stop to see the
stoves that are used in making palm sugar. There are many kinds of stoves that
are used in making palm sugar, such as Tao Wan, Tao Tan Dee and Tao Thai Derm.
In the morning, villagers climb a coconut tree to retrieve coconut nectar
collected in containers made from cut bamboo sections that were hung overnight
from the coconut trees.
The nectar is boiled in a large pan until it turns
brown and dry. The boiling time is between 8.30 am – 2pm. Some parts of the
sugar palm could be made into a fresh palm juice, which is also a famous
beverage.

PINSUWAN BENCHARONG OR BENCHARONG HOUSE
This I where beautiful Bencharong crockery that represents the exquisite
craftsmanship and the beauty of Thai Art are produced. The Bancharong crockery
is suitable for household use as well as for house decoration. Visitors could
see the Bencharong crockery production process.Open 8 am to 5pm on Monday Saturday and 8am- 12am on Sunday.

THE ORCHID FARM COMPANY LIMITED
It is a tourist stopping point with a beautiful orchid farm and butterfly
farms. It is open from 8 am to 10 am.

COCONUT SHELL PRODUCTS
Open on the weekend during 8am – 5pm (ornaments and household decoration
items made from coconut shells)
