Davao City is the gateway to Samal Island .Travel by air to
Davao City International Airport. From there take a 10 minute taxi ride to Sasa
Ferry Landing or at Panacan Ferry Landing.The barge in Sasa will take you to
Camp Holiday and to Villarica Wharf, if you prefer the Panacan Ferry landing.
Single motorcycles for hire and tricycles will take you to your chosen
destination. Some resorts also offer free rides their clients.You may also use
this route in going to Kaputian or Talikud Island.Total distance from Babak to
Kaputian is 27 km.
Backpackers may choose to board the launches located at Sasa
Public Market. The boat will dock at Villarica Wharf after 15-20 minutes. From
there, single motorcycles for hire and tricycles are available to take you to
your destination.
Another gateway to Samal Islands is through Sta.Ana.Wharf in
downtown Davao City, which is the best choice if your chosen destination is in
Kaputian or Talikud Island. Estimated boat ride to Kaputian or Talikud Island
is 45 minutes.

thousand giant clams( Taklobo).
