I wish I could put into everybody the fire that I have here
in my heart which makes me love the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate
Heart of Mary so much!

JACINTA MARTO
Jacinta Marto was born on 5 March 1910, in Aljustrel, Fatima
and died on 20 February 1920 at the Dona Estefania Hospital, in Lisbon. After a
century of her death, already canonized on 13 May, 2017, Fatima, present the
spiritual path of the Passionate Shepherdess as an example of holiness for this
time to those who come to the Shrine as pilgrims.
Looking at Jacinta, one can see what Jesus asks when he
tells his disciples (Mc, 14-15) .Let the children come to me; do not prevent
them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you,
whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.
THE SECRET OF THE PASSIONATE SHEPHERDESS
Walking through the prayer area, step by step, are some
episodes of Jacinta’s life narrated by Lucia in the book of her Memories. These
dialoges permit us to know the secret of passionate shepherdess.
Her love for
Jesus led her to take as hers the passions of Jesus: the immense compassion for
humanity.
With absolute confidence as Jesus, she offered herself to
God out of love so that not one of his children would be lost. And the
Immaculate Heart of Mary was her house
and her heaven.
