THE MAXIMUM BUILDING
BETONG CLOCK TOWER AND SWIFT BIRDS
Clock tower has long been along with Betong Town and
resembling a center of Betong town and resembling a center of Betong. It was
built up with marble. Ten thousands swift birds that emigrated from Siberia
take place on houses and buildings as well as electric wires around the clock
tower and became a symbol along with the clock tower.
THE MOST BEAUTIUL PAINTINGS IN FOUNDATION BUILDING
Chinese style paintings depicting story of hell, heaven and
Chinese novel are exhibited in this building.
THE LARGEST POST BOX
There are 2 post boxes: the first one is 3.2 meter in height
and can be dated back some 80 years that has been employing as a radio
broadcasting from a speaker on its top.The second one is of 9 meters high, a
three time larger size to the first one, where a lot of tourists prefer to take
photo with. Both post boxes are in use and are the largest post box in the
world.
72th BIRTHDAY ANNIVESARY CELEBRATION BUILDIING
Sculptures from Thai literature are on display in this
building including invaluable artifacts.The building offers a very good
viewpoint of Betong town especially during the morning when mist covers all
over the town.
THAILAND’S FIRST TUNNEL THROUGH MOUNTAIN
The tunnel of 273 meters long and 9 meters wide and 7 meters
high was established to provide traffic convenience.Betong Mongkolrit Tunnel is
situated at Amornrit Road cut off Phakdeedamrong Road.
SPORTS CENTER IN A VALLEY
It is a sports field located on the top height of Thailand.
BETONG MUNICIPALITY PARK
It is a public park covering about 120 Rais of land, located
on a hill in the middle of Betong town.It offers a wide angle view of Betong
among its shady area with big trees and various flowers. Betong museum is also
within a health park and sports arena is included.
BETONG CHICKEN SYMBOL
Betong chicken is a symbol of Betong located on before the
Betong Mongkolrit Tunnel .During April, Betong Chicken Festival is organized
annually
PIYAMIT TUNNEL
It is a tunnel that was dug along 1 km in mountains .It is
50-60 feet deep with 6 exit ways. It took 3 month to finish and was used for
taking refuge from air attacks and for storing foodstuffs. Communist Malaya
guerilla employed it for their political fighting in the past and it became an
interesting tourist attraction in the present.
SOUTHERMOSTS POINT
A signboard of Southernmost Point is bordering Thailand to
Malaysia, made of marble with distinguished golden alphabets. It is the very
popular photography point among tourists.
THE LARGEST CHINESE SCHOOLING
Jong Fa Foundation School (previously was Jong Fa School)was
established some 70 years ago and has been operating in following to the
regulations of Ministry of Education since year 1949.
BETONG MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Betong is officially authorized for all motor vehicle
registration including driver and rider for land transportation registration at
its district office. Consequently, it is the only district issuing registration
plate “Betong”.
THE TALLEST THAILAND FLAG POLE
Thailand flag pole is
located in Patrol Police Headquarter 445.The pole is totally 65 meters high
with its flag of 18 meters long and 9.2 meters wide.
