THAILAND BANGKOK
Bangkok was founded in 1782 by the first monarch of the
present Chakri dynasty. It is now the country’s spiritual, cultural,
diplomatic, commercial and educational hub. It covers an area of more than 1500
square kilometers and it is home to approximately 10 million people or more
than 10% of the country’s population. King Rama I, when he moved the capital
across the river from Thonburi to Bangkok. The Palace has been constantly
expanded and many additional structures were added over time. The present King
of Thailand, King Bhumibol, Adulyadej, however, resides at the Chitralada
Palace.
THE GRAND PALACE (PHRABOROM MAHA RATCHA WANG)
A complex of buildings serving as the official residence of
the Kings from the 18th century onwards. Construction of the Palace
began in 1782, during the region of King Rama I, when he moved the capital
across the river from Thonburi to Bangkok. The Palace has been constantly
expanded and added. The present King H.M King Bhumibol Adulyadej, however,
resides at the Chitralada Palace.
The Grand Palace is a truly amazing architectural structure.
It’s a large complex covering an area of 218000 square metrs, built in the
early years of Chakri Dynasty.The complex consists of 4 large groups of
building serving different royal functions. The first is Wat Phra Kaew, a royal
religious temple. The second is the Royal ceremonial complex, Chakri Maha
Prasat Hall. Then Third, Borom Phiman Mansin being a private zone not a tourist
area, is the royal and guests residence. The fourth is the staff and
governmental offices.
WAT TRAIMIT –TEMPLE OF THE GOLDEN BUDDHA
One of the famous temple in Bangkok “ Wat Traimit”- The
temple of the Golden Buddha ( the statue of Buddha is made from solid gold
weighting 5.5 tons).Located very near to Hua Lampong railway station ( Yaowarat
Road) and near to China town and is one of the most popular attractions in the
city of angles.
WAT ARUN (TEMPLE OF DAWN)
Best view can be seen from east side of river at sunset. The
great pagoda is located on the west bank of Chao Phraya River. Accessible both
by land or boat from ta Tien Pier, near Wat Pho.It was restored in Thonburi era
to be Royal Chapel of King Taksin. An important structure is 79 meter high
pagoda decorated with ceramic tiles and fragments of multicolored porcelain.
WAT PHO ( THE RECLINING BUDDHA TEMPLE)
The Reclining Buddha in the temple stands just behind
Emerald Buddha temple,known by its old
nae of Wat Pho. Founded in the 17th century, it’s the oldest temple
in Bangkok; Wat Pho comes from original name of Wat Photaram. King Rama I, the
founder of Bangkok, enlarged and installed many statues and artefacts recovered
from Ayutthaya and renamed it Wat Phra Chetuphon in 1801.

in English are worth making for entertaining and provides a good introduction
to Thai Region and culture
THE ROSE GARDEN
About 30 kms from Bangkok, offers the nicest gardens with 75
acres of perfectly manicured grounds with lake as a central feature. A place
for strolls and picnics, offers several excellent eateries, handicraft skills,
Thai boxing etc. For the kids , there’s elephant show, with golf course and a
spa for adults. A visit is full day affair, unless you have plenty of time a
visit is unlikely.
SAMPRAN ELEPHANT GROUND & ZOO
Located in the west of Bangkok with less than an hour of
drive, is a popular sightseeing, highlighting exciting events such as The
Elephant Theme Show, in which they dance /race/ play games among the the battle
scene Yuthahathi with the actors on the back as well as the Crocodile Wrestling
Show in which the master crocodile catcher perform breathtaking stunts to their
audience’ delight.
GRAND PEARL DINNER CRUISE

handed is hourly from 9am to 5pm. Feeding time is 1630-1730.The elephant show
is daily from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. You can see animals such as gibbons, turtles
etc species of fish, a Dinosaur Museum with life size models of dinosaurs.
SAFARI WORLD
Located in north of Bangkok, is a huge complex with a Safari
and a Marine Park. The drive through Park is inhabited by African and Asian
animals in the natural habitat open to visitors. Marine Park offers regular
dolphin and seal performances very amusing for kids. Its full day event so it
is going to take you a while. There is a lot of for kids to see so don’t expect
lightly for the day.
Safari world is Thailand’s greatest open zoo and leisure

out of here until they are exhausted and you know how long that takes! This is
a big American style theme park with all the trimmings. Corkscrew, Bumping
Cars, Swinging Viking Boat, Rollercoaster-they are all there and many more
besides. My personal favourite is the Giant’s House where everything is 50
times as big as it should be-very convincing and it would be an absolutely
great place to have a party.
A DAY IN KANCHANABURI & RVER KWAI
Begin with an early morning departure from Bangkok, driving
n as westerly direction for Kanchanaburi.. A visit to the Thailand –Burma
Railway Museum, an interactive museum, information and research facility
dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. After a
visit to the War Cemetery enjoy a scenic long tail boat trip along Maeklong
River to the famous Bride over the River Kwai. Continue by van /coach to
Pakseng for lunch at a local restaurant, then board the local train for the
thrilling ride across wooden viaducts, which offer fantastic scenery along the
Kwai River.
AYUTTHAYA DAY TRIP
This easy day trip gives a superb introduction to the
architectural heritage of the ancient capita Ayutthaya.A thriving trade and
political capital of Siam for over 400 years. Ayutthaya is filled with places,
temples and religious monuments of great historical and cultural significance

NAKORN NAYOK –KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK DA TRIP

THE DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET
The Damnoen Saduak Floating market is a very attractive
place for tourists to see the old style and traditional way of selling and
buying fruits, vegetables etc from small boats. Tourists will also see Thai
traditional Thai houses, the way they live and travel by boats and please try
riding on a small boat to experience the floating market and to see more. This
is worthwhile trip.
Damnernsaduak is believed to be one of well-known and an
attractive travelling sites. Historically , Damnoenssaduak was actually the
name of a canal dug in the reign of King Rama IV by the military men and the
people of Rajburi, Samutsakorn and Samutsongkram Province directed by
Phayasrisuriyawong , the minister of Defence.
MORNING CANAL TOUR BANGKOK
Morning Canal Tour Bangkok, A canal (Klong) tour along
Bangkok’s legendary Chao Phraya River and some canals on the Thon Buri side is
also the most pleasant way to discover the traditional charms of this city
6am-12.30pm.Experience and early morning trip along the bustling Chao Phraya

the water. Passing by the temple of the Dawn ( Wat Arun) and cruise past the

the river and klongs. Any resemblance to the Venetian gondola is quickly
dispelled when they take off at great speed. Long tailed boat plying the Chao
Phraya River. They are propelled through the water by big V8 engines mounted
above the boat with the propeller shaft exposed, hence the name long tail.
